Join GARNA and Guidestone Colorado and learn how Elements Mountain Compost is recycling organic waste and creating high quality soil products in Chaffee County. EMC will provide tips and tricks to start your own composting program at home – bin design, ingredients, maintenance and more. Participants will get a free sample bag of compost and a dollar off each bag of compost they purchase at the event.
Presenter Julie Mach is owner and operator of Elements Mountain Compost. EMC is dedicated to reducing waste and creating high quality compost. Using ingredients sourced from local outlets, they are producing blends that suit the needs of any gardener or small scale farmer in Chaffee County. Julie will also have an informational table at the AgriSummit on April 21 held at the Salida SteamPlant. Registration is available here.
The program will be held from 5:30 until 6:30 pm at 8875 County Road 150 in Salida. The cost is $10 for GARNA members and $15 for non-members. Advanced registration is required. Online registration is available below via our secure, pay pal site. Please note: you do not need a pay pal account, only a credit card. Fees support coordination and promotion of GARNA programs.

Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
