19th Annual Headwaters Institute

On Friday, June 9 Arkansas River Outfitters Association (AROA), Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA) and GARNA are presenting the 19th Annual Headwaters Institute, an all-day workshop for first year river guides and the public. Lectures and break-out sessions will be presented by numerous local and regional experts. Topics include the history of the Arkansas Valley, water quality, the effects of global climate change on the Arkansas, wildlife and wildflowers found along the river, and local issues such as the Browns Canyon National Monument designation.
Location: Salida SteamPlant Event Center
Cost: $10 for AROA member guides, $20 (general public and non-AROA member guides) and includes lunch and pizza and beer after party.

Many GARNA programs require a liability release form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below. Please include a note with the program you are registering for.

If we are notified of your need to cancel within 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. If minimum enrollment has not been met by program date, programs will be cancelled 2 days prior to the date and we will refund the full amount.
