December Earth-Friendly Book Club discussion

December 1, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The GARNA Earth-Friendly Book Club will discuss Winter World: The Ingenuity of Animal Survival, by Bernd Heinrich. “From flying squirrels to grizzly bears, and from torpid turtles to insects with antifreeze, the animal kingdom relies on some staggering evolutionary innovations to survive winter.  Examining everything from food sources in the extremely barren winter landscape to the chemical composition that allows certain creatures to survive, Heinrich’s Winter World awakens the largely undiscovered mysteries by which nature sustains herself through winter’s harsh, cruel exigencies.”  – excerpted from Amazon.

Most monthly meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Book Haven. If you are interested in joining, and are a GARNA member, please email Marilyn Moore.
