POSTPONED: SLR Photography 103: Nature Photography

Building on our Photography 101 and 102 classes, this session will focus on multiple aspects of taking pictures in the outdoors with an SLR camera. While our previous classes are not required prerequisites, you should be comfortable with the basic operations of your camera before signing up. The class will start with a brief discussion of basic composition, then we’ll head outside for practice. Participants will guide the subject matter of the class to the topics of most interest: Landscape, Telephoto, Macro (close-up), Action, and Wildlife photography are all possible areas of focus. Students should bring a tripod if you have one, and any special lenses you might have such as telephoto, macro, or wide angle. None of these are required. Our instructor is John Witherspoon, the accomplished and award-winning amateur photographer who taught our first two classes in early 2025.
Class size is limited to ten students, and registration is required.

Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
