Chaffee Rec Adopters Workday: Forest Road 390 cleanup and off-route travel obstruction
Join the Chaffee Rec Adopters and the Forest Service on October 11th to clean up ash and trash along Forest Road 390 and obstruct off-route travel by building buck & rail fences. Meet at the kiosk where Forest Service land begins and where CR-390 becomes Forest Road 390 @ 9 AM. Click here for driving directions to the meetup site.

The drive to the meeting spot is accessible by 2WD vehicle. Driving from the meeting location to the worksite (5-10 minute drive) will require a 4WD vehicle. Reach out to rose@garna.org if you need a ride from the meeting site to the worksite or you are willing to drive other volunteers to the worksite in your vehicle. Wear work clothes, closed toe shoes, and work gloves (we have extras for those who need to borrow a pair). Bring plenty of water. Salty snacks, bubbly water, and extra water bottles will be provided.

The Chaffee Rec Adopter program is a land stewardship volunteer program funded by Chaffee County and implemented by GARNA. We work collaboratively with the USFS, BLM and CPW to take care of our public lands through dispersed campsite cleanups, fencing projects, sign installation and other projects the agencies need.
Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
