Chaffee RecAdopters Workday: Monarch Park Campground Trail Work

Click HERE to register to volunteer
The Chaffee RecAdopters will be helping with general trail improvement projects for the trails going to each campsite at Monarch Park Campground. This includes creating drains and drainage structures, re-naturalizing disturbed areas, moving dirt and limited rock work. This project will be done in partnership with the US Forest Service.
Meet at Monarch Park Campground at 9:00am (see link). Be prepared to work until 3:00pm.
We will provide all necessary tools, but bring shovels and rakes if you have extras! Wear work clothes, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves (we have extra work gloves for those who would like to borrow a pair). Bring plenty of water, a lunch, snacks, layers, and sunscreen.
The Chaffee RecAdopters is a Chaffee County Program, funded by the Lodging Tax Fund and run by GARNA.
Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.
