You Make the Ark Valley Strong
Your support of GARNA isn’t just a donation — it’s an investment in the values that define the Upper Arkansas Valley. Thanks to you, we can all enjoy thriving public lands, flowing rivers and streams, and an outdoor lifestyle that brings people together.
When you partner with GARNA you instill a love for the environment in the next generation. You help neighbors connect on hikes and trails. You give everyday people the tools they need to become stewards of our waters. You inspire families to compost, recycle, and protect the place we all call home. You honor this place and the history of our community.
While we receive some funding from grants and contracts, it’s your generosity that keeps GARNA rooted in the community. When you give, you lead. You create change. You protect what matters.
Whether you become a member, give to a special fund, or simply make a one-time gift, you are the reason this work happens. Thank you for being part of GARNA’s mission — and this community.

General Giving
You can support GARNA through our General Fund, which helps our daily operational costs and staff support so we can continue to provide quality programming for the community.
Brett Beasley Memorial Scholarship
The inspiration of the Memorial Scholarship is to honor Brett Beasley, who was a partner and friend to GARNA and an employee of the USFS - Salida Ranger District. The Scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior who is interested in pursuing a career in natural resources.
Historic Stage & Rail Trail
From Salida to Leadville, following the historic stagecoach road and Midland railroad corridors, the route parallels the Arkansas River and the Collegiate Peaks Scenic and Historic Byway, and traverses over 75 miles of stunning landscapes. We are raising money for additional kiosks around the valley and for the continued development of the interactive map.
ChaffeeGIVES is a year-round program of the Community Foundation and Colorado Gives Day to increase giving throughout the county. GARNA annually sets goals to fund special projects from Middle School-specific programming to outfitting the Valley View Schoolhouse Nature Learning Center.
