We are proud to announce in our first year of participating in the Colorado Green Business Network, GARNA received a Bronze-level recognition for our sustainable practices of a non-profit!
We drive environmental leadership by embedding sustainability as a core operational pillar through robust waste diversion, eco-friendly transit, and public advocacy. Inside our office, we manage an on-site composting system to process food waste and paper products, while our eco-conscious procurement ensures 100% compostable tableware is sourced for youth outing meal services. Our specialized, dual-bin recycling program carefully separates standard materials from plastic films, which we transport to a local collection hub. By serving as a community drop-off site for hard-to-recycle, non-traditional materials and hosting public educational events, we directly activate local waste diversion efforts. Finally, we champion green commuting by encouraging staff to walk or bike to work whenever feasible, and we maximize our daily transit efficiency by utilizing shared organization vehicles for event carpools to minimize our overall ecological footprint.
We partner with the County’s Regional Sustainability Coordinator to assist local businesses to become part of the Green Business Network. Reach out to Josie for more info!
