The GARNA Birding Club is pleased to present a special program on the “Second Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas: Changes in Distribution of Colorado’s Breeding Birds Across a 20-Year Interval”. This program is timed with the release of the Second Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas.
Lynn Wickersham, Atlas Project Coordinator, will give us a unique glimpse into the five-year bird survey work carried out for the Second Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas. The first atlas was completed twenty years earlier and much has changed in this time. Lynn will share population changes and conservation concerns for some of the 262 bird species represented in the Atlas.
Lynn has 20 years of experience as an avian ecologist. She has a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University and M.S. in Biology from Arkansas State University. Her primary area of focus is the impacts of land management practices on the movements, habitat use, productivity and recruitment of birds.
The program will be Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00 pm, First United Methodist Church (4th and D Streets in Salida), Century Hall. Cost for the program is $3 for GARNA members and $5 for non-members. The registration fee will be collected at the door, cash or check only please.

Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
