The GARNA Birding Club is organizing a trip to some of the best birding sites within a day’s drive of Chaffee County – the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, Turtle Bay in Socorro, the Bernardo Unit of the Ladd S. Gordon Waterfowl Complex and Water Canyon, west of Socorro in the Magdalena Mountains. This trip is defined by both large numbers of cranes and waterfowl and good diversity of species.
The trip includes two nights in Socorro and two nights in Albuquerque. A detailed schedule will be provided to Birding Club members interested in the trip.
Please note this trip is limited to 20 participants and has a donation of $40 per person to the GARNA Birding Club. If you are a GARNA member and are interested in the trip and/or joining the Birding Club, please contact Denny Arter at at 719-539-0787 or denison118@gmail.com.
Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
