For the last two years, GARNA has been working with partners EcoMetrics, Envision Chaffee County, and the US Forest Service to restore Fourmile Creek above Buena Vista using Low-tech Process Based Restoration (LTPBR) techniques. This tour will give a behind-the-scenes look at the work already done, and discuss what LTPBR is and why it is so exciting. The tour will be led by restoration experts from EcoMetrics. Attendees should wear hiking boots or other sturdy shoes, and bring water, snacks, and sunscreen. Registration is required. Click here to register.
GARNA’s community and youth programs empower people with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to connect with and care for the environment. We focus on building relationships – with ourselves, with each other, and with the land – through meaningful experiences and shared learning. By combining empowerment with connections, we help foster a deep sense of responsibility that goes beyond our programs, inspiring lifelong stewardship and active participation in protecting the ecosystems we all depend on.
Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.
