Date: August 19
Join us for a special field trip to the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Gothic, Colorado! The Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL), near Crested Butte, is home to one of the largest annual migrations of field biologists and protected research sites, and it focuses on preserving and providing access to historical data about local ecosystems.
Participants in the GARNA field trip to RMBL on August 19 will learn about the evolution of life in the Rockies under the impact of climate change. Participants will tour the RMBL facility and meet with scientists staying and working at the lab for the summer. A lunch at the RMBL is included. We will have the option for a short hike in the afternoon before heading home.
This field trip is open to all ages! Children are welcome to attend, but children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Transportation to and from Crested Butte from the GARNA office is included. Cost $100
Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.
