Greater Arkansas River Nature Association and Central Colorado Conservancy have led the way in bringing environmental films to the Upper Arkansas Valley. The two organizations are again partnering to bring the Wild & Scenic Film Fest 2019, a world-renowned tour of the latest, cutting-edge environmental films, to Buena Vista on Friday, March 8 and to Salida on Saturday, March 9. The two events will benefit GARNA and the Conservancy and include environmental and adventure films with different films shown each night. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival sits apart from the hundreds of festivals around the world by leaving you feeling INSPIRED and MOTIVATED to go out and make a difference in your community and the world. Considered one of the nation’s premiere environmental and adventure film festivals, this year’s films combine stellar film making, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling.

Doors open at 6:15 pm. Films start at 7:00 pm. Over 2.5 hours of film will be shown with a brief intermission. Drinks and snacks will be available for sale. Ticket prices start at $10 with membership incentive. Kids 18 and under are just $5.

Join GARNA and the Conservancy for a special screening of the film Forest on Fire followed by an expert panel discussion. This event will take place prior to the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in Salida at the Steamplant Theater. Doors open at 4:00 pm, film begins at 4:30 pm. Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
