Get out with GARNA and the Friends of Browns Canyon to explore Browns Canyon National Monument. The hike is approximately 6 miles round-trip in the heart of Browns Canyon National Monument. The trailhead is located on the east side of Pigeon Peaks, with a phenomenal view of the valley below. We will hike for about a half mile on a closed 4wd road. There is minimal elevation change along this route. Then we will drop into an unnamed draw and hike cross country to Cottonwood Creek. We will then follow the creek bed upstream to Cave Springs. From here we will backtrack down Cottonwood Creek to Fletcher’s Rock and cabin. From the cabin we will follow the Turret Trail back to the vehicles. Total elevation lost and gained is around 500 feet.
The hike leaders are Mike Kunkel and Linda Gibas. Mike is the co-founder of Friends of Browns Canyon and an avid conservationist. Linda is the treasurer of Friends of Browns Canyon and an active equestrian and trail steward.
The cost of the guided hike is $5 for GARNA and Friends of Browns Canyon members; $7 for non members.

Many GARNA programs require a Liability Release Form be filled out each calendar year.
Your registration is secured upon receipt of payment, as long as there space is still available in a program. If you prefer not to register online (recommended), you may mail a check, made out to “GARNA” to the address below or stop by the office. Please include a note with the program you are registering for. Be aware, some programs sell out quickly, and we cannot confirm your spot with a mailed registration.

Cancellation policy:
If we are notified of your need to cancel by 24 hours of program date, your program fee will be refunded except for a $3.00 administrative fee. No refunds within 24 hours or after the event (but most events are transferable). If minimum enrollment has not been met 2 days before program date, programs will be cancelled and we will refund the full amount.
